The Internet and your privacy
The first thing is to really understand how the internet is broken up into three parts as covered here:

Understanding the above a bit better now, you may have noticed there are a lot more online scams than before, since many are a little more desperate than before and may click on links they would not normally click on. The idea is to stay vigilant and take the correct precautions such as using tools that can assist you.
Some great tools to use just in your browser is HTTPS Everywhere and of course an adblocker. Now that may seem like silly simple advice but I have always maintained using these tools and for good measure I use panda dome antivirus. Many call this a waste of time but it has served me well. If you are adventurous online, it may very well do the same for you.

With more and more businesses going online it is important to maintain privacy and security. Privacy covers many areas, and can protect you from something simple as your clients being stolen. Security will protect your PC from and the information contained therein.
A simple way of many is using bitlocker or veracrypt to protect your PC HDD. When you are on line your entire machine is exposed to the WWW and at the end of the day it is better to be prepared.
