The Five Eyes are an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. These countries are parties to the multilateral UKUSA Agreement, a treaty for joint cooperation in signals intelligence.

That is right, you are monitored against your will to protect these countries interests and disguised to look like you are being protected. Much good that has done when your very privacy and right to anonymity is violated. This is equal to having a government agent standing in your living room watching you everyday of your life — pretty creepy if you ask me.
